Findlater and Sisters is a growing community of women who enjoy walking and talking in the peace of the nurturing Dorset landscape. As well as going on lovely walks, sometimes with a pub or café included, we benefit from the space that a good walk, and good company, creates. It allows us to reflect and draw strength, ready to face life’s opportunities and demands - sometimes the best ideas and thoughts arrive when walking! Join us. Our walks are free.

Our routes are designed to encounter traces of the overlooked women whose stories are part of the Dorset landscape and beyond. These are women who history has forgotten and who have largely been written out of the mainstream narrative. From the early matriarchal tribes, through Anglo-Saxon queens, the doughty women of the Civil War, to pioneering scientists, notable lesbians, artists and writers.
